Bit of a long shot.
I was wondering if anyone in the logan area would be able to press my radius arm bushes out for me TODAY. 16-09-2012
Pulled the arms out last night, but don't have a big enough socket/drift to use in the press.
Just a little impatient,as I can take them to work tomorrow and get the mechs to do it.
Any help is appreciated.

Cheers,
Tony

If you need to do it today, you can run a drill through the rubber of the bushes several times, get a MAP gas or LPG torch and burn out the rubber, then hacksaw the outer through, then get a cold chisel and drive them out.

I tried the hacksaw trick on some other bushes, and it wasn't fun.
Just got back from chasing a suitable socket and may have found something.
Yep installing superpro bushes so it'll be easier next time.
About to try it

Thanks for the offer Blknight.aus, but I managed to get it done.
Sorry for the late reply.
I've just got back inside after working on the defender, front suspension is all back together except for the panhard rod which has just been given a lick of paint ready for bushes tomorrow afternoon.
My little 6T supercheap press put in a mighty effort, well worth the $139.

Tony

Just a bit of good oil info here, the best tool for pressing out and pressing new radius rod bushes in is the distance/ seal collar from the rear of the mainshaft in an LT95 transmission.
