What year is your TD5. From a certain Vin in 2003 or could be late 02, the ECU is re writeable. You don't change the Chip. You remap the ECU.

I fitted a chipped computer from Triumph Rover Spares and I am verry pleased with it, also found them easy to deal with and the price was good.

Hello,
I would not fit any chip into a TD5 the only way to go is to re-map the ECU. The best place i have found is TD5 Inside, Jose does a great job and a lot better for your motor.
I have had quite few re-maps and they are by far the best.

I looked at them recently. I got a prompt email reply and was impressed with their offer. I will be getting a stage two remap, and latter on if I go bigger inter cooler(which I intend to) they will supply stage three remap for free.

If you have a pre MY03 TD5, I have a PSI strap on system that I am moving on - see "Markets" for details. PSI is linked, or is Porsche Tuning in Belgium. They make thes things for virtually every European diesel vehicle and have done for many years.

System is pretty smart too. expose the five injector wires on the computer and splice in any of the five PSI wires to any; and the PSI strap on figures it all out.

With the PSI, Hit the Mode button and place foot on floor, He really used to get down and boogy :) Great for eating 3 and 4 trailer road trains in a fully (over) loaded Disco.

It is/was a great system. Worked reliably and successfully for 10 or 11 years everywhere in Oz.

Highly recommend. If you would like to buy new, Google PSI Tuning.

Cheers
