Will 2inch lift need castor correction

Have just bought 2inch lifted springs (dobinsons). Will it need castor correction done? I only bought the springs as the shocks are ok and wanted to save the cash. What are other peoples experiences with lifted springs??

I am yet to install the kit and wasn't sure if the handling will be all over the place as I was planning a trip in a couple of weeks and didn't want to muck around with it just before we left, but the extra lift and carry capacity might be better?

Generaly you don't need castor correction with a 2" lift. Having said that every Disco is different. The best thing to do is fit them and see how it handles. If it's very twichy on the road it would be better to have it done. Most people don't need it though.

As David said, Landy's tend to a bit like handbuilt vehicles in that there are quite often dimensional differences between each vehicle.
I'm on my 3rd lifted landy, 2 x RRC's with 2" and current D1 with 3", and never felt the need for a castor correction. A good steering damper will help with any steering twitches you may have.

Spend a few bucks and get a wheel aligment reading ( no adjustment- just a print out required ) On average, you will lose about a degree of castor per inch of lift. If your before castor reading is close to 2 degrees or lower , the vehicle will be a better drive with castor correction. If in doubt, more castor is better than less.
