Just coming back from Central Qld this week and my 2007 Puma Defender went into limp home mode...about 900km from home. I have a Scan Gauge II which indicated fault code P121C. A phone call to MR Automotive & they suggested low fuel pressure related problem.

Has anybody else experienced this fault code before & able to throw any light on it please?

I cancelled the code and continued another 20km, when it went into limp home again. I then replaced the fuel filter. I noted the fuel level in the old filter was about 50mm down from full, so suspect it may be related.

However, it went into limp home twice on the remaining 900km journey...once at 90km cruising, and once at a restart after a 2hr stop.

I want to put a shot of compressed air, in the supply line to the fuel filter in case the tank pick up screen is restricted as well. Is that the larger of the 2 hoses from the tank to the filter??

Hi Bird, according to the book P0121 is: Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor "A" Circuit Range/Performance. Perhaps check the plug on the accelerator pedal is tight and clean.

Cheers,

Tim

Thanks Tim

Is the fault code list something that is easy to access if needed in the future?

Cheers
