is it nearly a full moon?

people are losing the plot left right and center!

i had some crazy sheila give me a hard time because i wanted to pay for a 100 bucks worth of diesel with an amex card..

she went off...

they charge a 2% processing fee which would more than covers the difference between visa and amex but she went on and on ...

then argued over my signature..

stood there quietly till i had enough, said thanks mum as i walked off..

she went ballistic... had to be 10 people in the line to pay for fuel by then.

i left them too it :p

then i some peanut trys to run me off the road as i was driving along minding my own business doing a smidgeon over 100kph in the outside lane.

he swerved over from the center lane and if i hadn't hit the picks the clown would have taken me out.

not another car in sight.

was very glad to get back home!

You must live in Queensland.
(That'll get them all stirred up.)
It's been warm up there I hear. Perhaps some people need to take a chill pill.

I had a good day today. everyone was polite and pleasant.

Incisor, have you considered moving south?

Is it school holidays coming up round your way? Is here.

My mate's wife ran a red light today and hit two other cars, perfect sunny day too. Luckily no-one hurt, wasn't his Rangie that crashed, just her RAV4. They are supposed to be off with the kids tomorrow towing the van. He's packing late after spending the afternoon running around.

Wasn't suggesting Dave take a chill pill. He seems to be all cool. It's the great unwashed he is dealing with that need to take a chill pill..
It's not like that down here.

Oh, by the way Ian, we are in the southern hemisphere and America is in the northern hemisphere. It may seem to be an insignificant fact but Mexico is close to the equator much like Queensland. I believe you are much closer to the equator than I. Enjoy those tacos Gringo.

Wow that's mad

I have a company Amex and when I need to pay for everything with it.

I even buy coffee or McDonald's with it. So going mad over $100 is mad. I would call up and complain.

yep, been there done that.

it is getting more and more common place to have either a surcharge or refusal to accept it to the point that i am starting to look at alternatives.

When I was a Boss in the Fire Service we were issued with an American Express Credit Card of course with strict limits, for incidentals such as running out of fuel at big jobs like bush fires etc but they had to withdraw them and issue visa cards instead ,as no business would except them and I think the same applied to Amex .A sideline to this was when I was issued mine I had offers from every credit card provider going with the same daily and maximum limits the government stipulated....Strange don't you think especially about the security within our government.

AMEX just sucks. It annoys us that our company give us these rather than a Visa. Very limited where you can use them. I know they are supposed to be primarily for travel and accommodation for us, but there are too many places that do not accept them. If I need to use for fuel I am very careful as a lot of servos just wont take them.

You'll have to excuse Mick, he lives over the West side of Melb,, over here in the South Eastern side, we must have all of the ******* with their BS attitudes and bad manners, inconsideration, (the list goes on and on).

Would love to be on some acres again Mick,, but I want the beach too, so no good over that way. We need to be where the sun shines more often ;)
Maybe Northish WA, have to wait and see what we find doing the big slow lap ,, but we'll also need more than any sort of credit card for that, at least I know not to go with anything to with Amex.

Probably something to do with the amount of money that gets spent here....

ps: you shouldve stopped in and said hi yesterday!

had the entertaining experience of a trade customers labourer come in wanting a timing kit..... he didnt know what it was for, just expected me to match up the bits..... first he thought it was for a V6 prado, he made a phone call, no, its a v6 hilux..... what year? dunno..... second phone call and he snatches the parts up and storms out.....

shame i'm on very good terms with the workshop foreman and the manager..... he isnt in any more trouble, but at least next time he'll know to find out what the parts are for first! strangely, it was for a 4 cylinder hilux.....

You think it's just people going crazy, Dave. At a local ag show yesterday I watched a harnessed up Clydsedale go nuts. It skipped out of the gate of the car parking paddock, lashing out wildly with its giant steel clad hooves, crashed sideways into the gate, then pirouetted around onto the bonnet of some poor old dear's EB Falcon smashing the windscreen and side window before sliding off in a heap of tangled traces. Luckily no major damage to horse or human, but it goes to show, take care out there, it's a mad, bad world.:eek::eek:
