How do I go about finding out if there are any and were abouts they are, beaches with vehicle access to go fishing?

I'm not lazy as much as being an amputee makes walking over sand to go fishing or just to enjoy it a pita.

So any thoughts?

Hi Blitz,

You can try Bribie Island, Noosa Northshore to Double Island Point, North Straddie (all of which need permits) or Rainbow Beach.

I'm not sure about Straddie but Bribie and Noosa are available through National Parks website. Do a google and you should come up with the site.

Camping and vehicle access permits (Department of Environment and Resource Management) (http://www.derm.qld.gov.au/services_resources/item_list.php?category_id=208)

Look for Cooloola for Noosa Northshore to DI and Bribie for Bribie Island.

If you are looking for a good Free beach.
Ballina to Evans Heads is a great drive

Best way on is via the Ferry to South Ballina $5 bucks each way

Or keep going down the highway to the next river past Ballina go over the bridge and head east.
