Hi,

I am fitting a Peugeot diesel to a series gearbox and need a spigot bush made up.

Does anyone know what sort of bronze to make them from? Is it a job that can be done on a lathe or do you need to get a pro to do it?

Hoping it can be done at home to save cost but want to get it right as removing engine to fix would be a PITA.

Regards

Andrew

Sintered Bronze, then you can soak it in oil and it will last for years.
Turn it yourself but just make sure you get the tolerances correct.

sintered bronze - Google Search (http://www.google.com.au/images?hl=en-AU&q=sintered+bronze&gbv=2&gs_l=heirloom-hp.1.0.0l10.656.6531.0.8671.15.12.0.3.3.0.235.2299 .2-10.10.0...0.0...1c.1.-prxCNylEz8&sa=X&oi=image_result_group)
