Hi there.

Does anyone know if it's possible to remove the centre headrest in the second row of seats in a D3? I can put it up & down, but I would like to remove it entirely if possible, for a trip I'm about to do...

Thanks.

Steve

Ah easy,
The headrest has two posts, one has the little button you push in to change the height.
The other again on the outside has a hidden button which you push in while pulling up on the headrest.
Same on all 3 rear seat headrests.

Ha! Awesome. Thanks Rich! That worked. :)

Isn't the forum a fantastic tool....

Yep - push both buttons - hard - poke out your tongue and think of England .... they are "tricky" to remove BUT it can be done. :D

The problem I have is that I prefer to have the headrests down as it improves rear vision. However everyone who sits in the rear seats complain that the headrests are uncomfortable when down but are too complicated for the uninitiated to adjust when in the seat. As a result when all the whining and bitching gets too annoying I have to stop and get out and do the adjusting.

You shouldn't need a a special lesson for occupants not familiar with the car to adjust the headrests.

I couldn't agree more Gary - I've had to do the same ... stop the car - get out and "adjust" the headrests for rear seat passengers ... very annoying
Luckily I rarely have anybody in the rear seats (might have to check my aftershave !!) so it doesn't happen much. :p
It's just another one of those Landrover things that you learn to live with.
