No don't think so Pop.
Most series 111 switch labels used symbols. Late 11A had the words. It also looks to have the roundish outline of the guage binnicle it the top Right Hand corner of the Pic.

Clue 1:
Old shopping list with typical European items such as marmalade and blue cheese.
WD40 was created in '53 and wasn't shipped until the '60s as far as I can find (the list may be younger than the car?)
Old manual may have the word series. I can see "es"
Indicitive of a UK import maybe? (goes towards being a series)
Clue 3:
Heater. Indicative of a UK import?
Clue 7:
Station Wagon badge
Clue 8:
Series grill with a latch that means you need access to something behind it
Other photos may be indicitive of a special purpose vehicle...
My guess:

Well ! I've looked high and low without luck in the cyber place for a picture of a series 2A Stationwagon with a carannex style hutch or tent fitted into the rail over the back of the roof .
The slide or rail on the roof is the give away along with the folding frame sections.

So, you thought you knew your Land Rovers ??
Mystery Land rover clues revealed:
Clue #1. This was a an interesting ‘find’ in the landy. This preserved shopping list shows milk, marmalade, small WD40, blue cheese, cord 2m, alarm clock. These interesting clues reveal that the previous owner may be an English Gentleman with a discerning taste. Other clues therein hint at travel to distant lands.
#2. A very interesting clue here indeed. And confirms very early in this mystery comp that the vehicle has indeed travelled. It’s fitted with an electrical appliance socket. But what for ?? When exploring distant lands, the Gentleman adventurer needed to power his shaver (!) from a compatible voltage.
# 3. This clue shows that it’s a late model S2A fitted with the ‘luxury’ option pack - a fan-driven heater.
# 4. A clue that stumped all. It’s the mounting hardware on the spare wheel. But where you ask ?? On the rear door, dear reader.
# 5. This one was for the rivet-counters amongst you. It’s an awning support, Edward.
#6. With the rivet-counters seriously scratching, we decided to throw you another clue. Look closely again at this pic. It is, of course, a press stud (for securing canvas) attached to body galvanized capping.
# 7. This giveaway clue here is the letter ‘S’ for Station Wagon, the shape of the badge also gives it away.
#8 A clue that hints that this landrover has an exotic past, in lands where security of your vehicle can at times be paramount. The locking hasp is fitted to the radiator support panel, and secured with a padlock.
#9. A vital clue here, the carnet-de-passage’ holder cleverly diverted attention from the real clue of the mystery landrover. A carefully placed curtain track slide.
#10. Yes, Landys were used for shunting railway rolling stock. And that does look like ballast used between the tracks. It’s convincing, Hortense. But no, the pic actually shows the step that provides access to the rear of the landrover.
#11. An easy one here ? This Landy is fitted with the tropical roof. But what’s that rail in the pic, you ask ? It’s the alum extrusion fitted to the rear of hardtop that secures a canvas canopy.
#12. Look closely again at this clue. You’ll see a bracket in the rhs of the pic. That bracket can be found on the cargo floor of the S2A, behind the rear bulkhead. In this case, a specially cut-down bulkhead.
#13. A great clue here. It’s the hinged cap of a rugged trailer socket. But not the Utilux type, rather one indicating that the vehicle is not a CKD Landy assembled by PMC in Australia. It’s fully imported CBU.
So congratulations to ‘juddy’ who correctly guessed the mystery vehicle comp as a Carawagon.
And well done to all those who embraced the comp in the fun spirit of giving it a go.
Some even got an individual clue correct.
To those whose patience span was severely challenged …..well, we won’t go there will we ……
As for us, we had fun putting the clues together for you, and are the excited owners of a unique and rare Carawagon shorty, with an interesting history.
p.s: 'mystery clues revealed' would have been posted a couple of days ago but for well publicised computer gremlins.

Look forward to seeing some pics, does it have it's interior intact ?? badges etc ?? History ??
I only know of one other which is in the uk, although one was featured recently in lroi mag and there was a wreck that sold on ebay a few weeks back.
I'm sure it will be a rarity here in australia.

Sorry Jerryd and Col.Coleman and the many folks out there very very eager for more info and pics. I would upload the great pictures but the computer at home is not working, due to much publicised (news media) computer gremlins. Australian Govt authorities are trying to sort it.
We are delighted to report that it is indeed intact, overall very good condition for it's history, yes with all badges Jerry, and is even currently road registered !!
We have been in contact with the much respected motoring scribe you mentioned in that relevant lroi feature article, and he says he may have only ever seen two Searle shortys in Britain (!), the home of all things Landrover.
Again, our apologies, as we certainly understand why this find has attracted a heck of a lot of interest.
I am posting this from the library computer, but it won't let me post up pictures. :(

Hello Chaps,
Well, thanks for your patience. We have managed to salvage an old computer tower, which we have now got up and runnin' (albeit very SLOWly :p). The ol' tower hates doing more than one thing at once though (ie: moving the mouse while it's - trying - to load a webpage. . ) The fast PC we were running has got power supply issues, so is out of service until dad repairs it.
So, the salvaged old tower has allowed us to post up this one pic.

Well Chaps, here is some pictures of the Carawagon.
'He' already has a name - 'Sir Bertie' abreviated from Searle Aristotle Edward Eggbert, formerly of Sunbury on Thames. :p
More later.

More photos, hopefully including interior shots, to come, if we can post them up.
We've got to get the Image Mixer software sorted so that the pc will communicate with the cameras' hard drive.
Remember, we are temporarily (he says optimistically) running an old Mercury tower (in emergency mode), which can't handle doing more than one thing at a time.
