Hi all

Just wondering if someone can tell me what the cost for replacement tires (factory released and other) for the D4 in both 19 and 20 inch please?

Also has anyone towed a caravan or something of around 2.5 tonne with either 19 or 20's and if so how was the ride?

Any recommendations or experience would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers Scott

Hi

This topic has had a number of threads. Have a search for them and you will find lots of good tips. The price varies a lot depending nowhere you are too. Two common ones for the 19" are general grabber AT and the Cooper LTZ. Try searching for these.

I have towed with the GG AT and they were very good.

I have just done 3500kms towing a 21ft 3.5t Kedron and on more than one occasion nearly forgot I had the van on the back..just make sure you set up tow assist if you have it. I still have factory Wranglers on and they didn't miss a beat just put a couple of extra psi in them.

Hey Merv,

I found the Wranglers pretty good until they get to about 50% tread then they become very puncture prone.....and that is not towing, just under the weight of the car. Don't waste your money replacing them. Even if you want a road only tyre, there would have to be better options for the cost of a Wrangler. Maybe the Scorpion Zero?

I bought Scorpion ATRs cause I do go offroad and the lack of lateral movement (good thing :)) was very, very noticeable compared to the Wranglers.

$495 each.....which sux.... :-( ....great tyre though.

Cheers,

Kev.
