HI all
I notice that Tridon (available at Supercheaps/Repco etc) make a thermostat to suit the 300Tdi.
Part Number TT2000-180.
Are these ok to use? I am due to replace mine.
Cheers

I often use aftermarket thermostats in my shop.
On Landrover like many others there is often a jiggle pin built into the top plate to allow for gas bubble bleed off from the block cooling jacket . I try to use thermostats with this feature.
Also and perhaps more important try to select a fail safe "stat" that sticks open should the engine overheat in service.
Hope that answers your question.
Cheers Dennis

Thanks Ron
I was being lazy and looked at ebay which is where I obtained the TT2000-180 part number. Now I am confused.
Which Tridon part number Is the right one for my Defender 300TDi?
Thanks
Andrew
