Any one had a new front screen fitted? Were any new trim pieces needed or new seals during the install.

Answering my own question, Removal of the side and top and bottom exterior trims is all that is required, these can be refitted on the original clips as long as they dont snap.
I had a new screen fitted today. I went for the top tinted version as opposed to plain glass. Very happy with the outcome

Was it an O'B job? I've discovered a crack behind the rear view mirror which no doubt will lengthen in due course so I need to suss out a reasonable replacement which insurance company will think is good value;)... I wondered if the RR windscreen is specifically bonded in place as a structural element rather than a straightforward 'silicone' -type glazing.
cheers

I had a growing stone chip / crack like yours directly behind the rear view mirror. I could live with that but acquired a much worse chip which grew to a 12 inch crack over a few months. I looked at all options and found the Top Tint one I had fitted for $375 all up. As far as can tell it was bonded. It was a surprisingly quick job although they advised not to drive the car for as long as possible whilst it sets

I had mine replaced a year ago after a little pr!(k threw a rock at my Rangie and got a crack shot... They must have broken the clips because the trim doesn't sit flush on the rh top edge and I now have a light whistle at highway speeds.
