Afternoon all.
Looking at doing a run out to Cameron Corner (Apt, don't you think? :D) then back through Broken Hill soon with a few mates, just getting on top of some issues.
Noticed that recently I've not been able to get power in either the dash or cargo bay power sockets.
I know they both worked when I bought it, tested both of them.
Pulled the trim off the rear one, found a cable wasn't attached so I replaced it with much swearing and drooling over the torch being held in my mouth, but still nada.
I can't be 100% sure as to when they stopped working, so now I'm just looking for some ideas on what to look for before taking it to a sparky.
Cheers

Yeah I checked the fuse :D
Besides, they run off the same fuses for interior lights, etc and none of those have gone.
Typical Joe Lucas Prince of Darkness.
C'est la vie.
Congrats on your upgrade to a REAL diesel engine :D
I had a drive of a 300 Tdi at Glenreagh...
Had to check I hadn't knocked the gear lever into N, lag much? :p

You sure about that??
Yeah and my Td5 has a REAL gearbox behind it :p
The 300 Tdi is a good thing though, hardly moves but it will get you there and back. :)
I just like being able to do 120 up the hills aswell as down lol :D

Yep, checked the owners book and the electrical library :)
Separate fuses for cigarette lighter and rear port, neither of the other bits that go with those fuses are out, and the fuses are fine :D
Pfft....
Real Gearbox....
So you've got an LT85 behind it? :p
Yeah, I like Fluids tip.
Knock the auto into 3rd at the bottom of a hill.
Hello rocket ship :D

Righto then, the other thing I've had happen is the plug come off the back of the front one, what a PITA as you have to pull the console out, but that doesn't suggest why the back one is doing it!!!

HA HA R380's are heaps better, even check Ashcrofts site, the R380 is the recommended replacement for buggered lt85's!!

We had to use 3rd on a hill once, Catherine hill on the Hume, had 3 tonnes on the trailer :P lol

Lol.
I hate towing. It's like "WHY AM I NOT GOING FAST! Oh that's right, I have 2.5t dragging behind me."
It's in at the stealers now, I told them "I don't care about the leak in the transfer case. I don't care about the fuel cooler O rings. I don't care about the rear diff pinion seal. As long as they're not going to run dry, I don't care. Fix my sunroof and my power sockets." :D

You've obviously never driven a 3.0 SDV6 Disco or Rangie, I raced ours (it had the car trailer on the back, about 2.5t all up or slightly more) still flogged the manual td5.

Personally I really like towing, no idea why I just think it's fun haha, always had little trailers on my Range Rover pedal car, then quad bikes, then the 10t chaser bin on the tractor when I was 16, back down to box trailers on red p's and now the bigger stuff again :D

Hahahahaha, at least you have your priorities right ;)

Any landrover that doesn't leak isn't a real landrover.
$500 for parts and labour if I want the sunroof fixed
At least my power ports work now :D
