hawse fairlead for steel cable

i currently have one to use with my PTO winch however it does not cover the full width of the drum. its looks like its made from some sort of cast metal.

has anybody seen extra wide fairleads for sale?

if i was to get a custom one made what would be the best material?

Tigerz11 might be worth a look as they carry them at a reasonable cost.
They have a warehouse in Lawnton.
Take the credit card, as Im told there is plenty of good stuff in there.

I'm back at Archerfield from the 17th for 2 weeks, if you want to bring the kids out again.

I thought the idea was the fairlead or rollers were in the centre so even when winching at an angle the rope could spool on evenly. If the fairlead goes full width when winching at an angle the rope will bunch up on that end of the drum.
However most fairleads are too close to the drum for even winding anyway.

pretty sure fairleads are the width of the drum otherwise its tough to lay the rope back on nice and neat when the job is done

i'm about to go for a walk through the carpark so i can get the right measurements for my new custom fairlead
