I have had the odd fault or two before LED globes, new ....... then no problems.

Today after a shallow river crossing or two- honest not too deep:angel:. I drove about an hour, stopped and no issues, an hour later I stopped. As soon as the key came out, the radio comes on, hazard lights, head lights flashing, central locking all having a party.. This occured every time I removed the keys, turning headlights off worked for them, ditto of radio. Hazard light are party animals and just keep going. Hard reset, party continued as soon as battery was reconnected.

If I use the remote lock I also get the alarm adding to the effects.

Keys in and she drives perfectly almost. Transmission error fixed by a restart and parking brake error light showing at times.

Newish tranmission has never been underwater before. This has my vote at present but I may be off target. Any thoughts?

Eletrics and water do not mix. But which bit is unsealed on mine is the question- DOH.
Issue resolved I assume due to it dring up. I plugged battery in to the disco lights again this morning. Changed the Mud tires off ATs back on with keys in an radio on. 40 minutes later the disco lights did not start when the key was removed. Perhaps my car is a saturday night party animal?

Fault finding made a bit hard by it fixing itself. Due for a serice and a look soon as this is not a issue I want to find while bathing my car in a high country stream.

My first Stag came home with me or parts of it did - Sorry Long story:angel:

A fault light with my near new parking brakes was reported to Ritters a few weeks ago. They found no warning light or fault at the time. Came on again Thursday. Back to Ritta wondering if it is time to get a new car. I like going a long way from road and service so do not want unexplained faults potentiality give me a very long walk. Under stress with work, sick staff and a trip planned Friday night I was not a happy camper.

So back at Ritta Mr Jason himself is looking. He cleared errors and a few other issued and then my suspension goes wonky? Jason traced fault to a terminal connection for both parking brakes and suspension on the Right rear wheel. The connector had a rubber seal which was crushed and un-serviceable. The clearly not water proof part had my attention and almost certainly explains the DISCO lights effect after a shallow river crossing above.

From thinking of a new truck I am now back to considering 500,000 or more km on my clock before thinking of replacement now:D
Thank you Ritta Melbourne
