Is this privately financed????? I'm guessing it is, some people have a lot of dollars to play with, I heard the balloon alone is worth $250,000 US and they have more than one.:o

crikey....I'm amazed as soon as redbull put their name on something people notice. Burt Rutan has poured milions of dollars into his privately funded space programs and has been researching for 20 years. Probably outside of Nasa this man has contributed more to private space travel than any other man on the planet. Fortunately he has a very powerful person backing him now. I believe tickets are now available and space travel in an aircraft designed to carry passengers is not far away.

I wonder how he got the spin under control. Could have been fatal if not stopped.
