There is a group buy on ebay ex Hong Kong (to AUS only) for the SIII 16 GB phone at $535 in lieu of a claimed $849 normal retail.
Is this a good price, and is 16GB enough for normal use? (Don't ask this troglodyte to define normal).

retail price thru telstra is about 710 last week
you can put a microSD card in them for another 32g

Yes, 16gb is plenty for the normal / average user
However - Caveat Emptor
Issues I have:
> It is from Hong Kong
>Exclusive to Australian users?
>Price is too low
I would be thinking either an outright scam, or you would receive a copy of the real thing.
But then again, I am the suspicious type.

Cheaper prices than that out there - even Kogan are cheaper.
Plug "Galaxy S3" into Shopbot - Compare prices - Australia - Price Comparison - Comparison Shopping (http://www.shopbot.com.au.)
16GB is plenty, in my experience. MicroSD slot can give you at least 32GB more. I have a Galaxy Note with 32GB card, and it has my entire music collection on it.

As in phone performance or??
I recall but haven't revisited a recent spirited discussion on this phone vs Apple i4/5 - unfortunately much of it went over my head

have a look on fleabay 500 of bucks there. its a no brainer.
the only advantage of say getting on one local is the insurance

really....
Do note that Samsung isn't exactly wrong when it says "buyer beware" for those buying grey import models: the company will not honour local warranty for imported devices. Both MobiCity and Kogan offer their own 12 month warranties, but you should do your research on exactly what this includes before you decide to hit the trigger.

really....that will be it i suppose, but then most western / English country s have parallel laws that make " the company will not honor" illegal. except Australia that is.
