defender r380 question

hi all ive been chasing down a rattle in our 98 110 took off the top internal rubber matting cover to check the top of the gearbox found a piece of the foam that had been cut away under it is a small cover its to the left i guess what im getting at is there somthing inside that cover that can cause a transmission rattle if touched :(cheers

will take a photo tommorow and post it thanks jc this rattle is weird was not there before it was in the shop, but i allso had the steering collum off to replace the light switch, by the wayi used a old ford type pull out one works unreal and reliable jc by the way gotta love chuck cheers:cool:

jumped in the landy this morning the noise has stoped i have pulled half this vehicle to bits and it just stops gotta love defenders
