Hi there all

Well after years of hard life around the farm - the time has come of a bit of a tidy up........

Electrically (D lights are tempermental on rough roads).
Engine - still runs but did have water in the sump (I suspect it was drowned in the creek by the kids)
Body - needs a tidy up and possible a re-paint (sustained a few dents - due to a 9 & 12 year old kids driving it)
Considering a hard top - although they can be difficult to find.
etc
I obtained this little vehicle for parts - but soon realised it was more than just a parts vehicle when I had it running the day it was dropped off (What more do I say but thank you Ian)

Well sharing some pictures:

I don't know what it is, but I am suddenly and completely in love with these beauties. Dad got himself a new SWB defender, which must be making me see these oldies in a new light.
I live in the city but think that an 80" or an 86" like this would be so good for chucking a surfboard in and shooting over to one of the beaches. Perfect summer truck. I honestly don't think that there is a cooler car out there then these series 1s...

I am so jealous of your truck! Don't paint it, the rust and faded paint adds character!
If you ever want to get rid of it PM me :)

Found one laying on the ground at a station near Meekathara a couple of days ago. I might even get rid of mine to help fund the rag top.

I've got to get me one of these little S1's for summer trundles. I know where there is one, but I'm buggered if the owner will sell it :( barely has a scrap of paint left on it and that's really a massive part of the charm I reckon. Much like the one at the top of this thread, I'd have that in a heartbeat. The numberplate's a belter as well !!

Hi there all

Sorry been away for a few days, the 86" are great little off road machines and as some one said:

Oh for a series one 1954 86" soft top fix!

They are the best, cruising down the dirt tracks with the wind in your face "Priceless"
