View Full Version : Defender crab bar installation

I just had a 'crab bar' installed in the back of the 110 Defender. The crab bar provides infant car seat anchor points, which this vehicle did not come equipped with - 1996 vintage
It looks quite simple, is quite big and as you guessed, not cheap! The cost of safety - they get ya! It was awkward to get the cargo barrier back in, but it's not something I'm planning to take out very often either.
I've attached a couple photos for those insterested.
Bye,
Joshua.

Where did you get the bar from? I have our baby seat attached to one of the tie down points in the cargo area:eek:
Cheers Bob.

I wonder if I can put one of them behind the folding seats in my MY12 90?

I think here:
Automotive Restraint Fitters - Seat Belt Accessories - Child Car Seats - Baby Car Seats - TOTLOK - Bracket's and Mounts (http://arfa.com.au/index.php/Bracket-s-and-Mounts/View-all-products.html)
scroll down about half way to item 46a.
The local mechanics ordered and installed the unit, having the requisite approvals etc...
As for fitting one in a 2012 90, I would ring them up - Were quite helpful when I was doing research.
Joshua.

Hey intrepid,
We have just added a kin into the mix, and now have to get tie down points added to our Landrover defender.
I was just wondering who you got to do the install, they wouldn't happen to be on the Sunshine Coats would they?
Thanks for any help you can give me!
