Gday All,
We have had heaps of enquiries about if we are doing any seafood this Christmas and we are greatful for all the interest. Due to us now having no boat of our own, we are trying to work out how we can now offer prawns etc from the company we now work for.
Our biggest problem is that all bank accounts are held at the company HQ in brisbane, so doing individual invoices as we have in the past is not as easy as when it was our account and we could check it daily ourselves.
I plan to speak with the main accountant in the next day or so and see what we can work out. I need to be able to cut it down to a couple of invoices per order so I can get the accounts people to check. My plan is still to do individual packs but just come up with a way that several of the small orders can pool together and be invoiced as 1.
If I can get a system in place , we will be happy to offer the service.
We would definately be able to offer the 2 sizes of endeavour prawns and the bugs, but the tigers may be a different story.
Will keep everyone updated.
Cheers Ean

Gday Andrew,
I have no doubt it will be fine, its more me being able to check if / when people have paid so I can send the product. I had over 40 invoices last year and some got put into wrong accounts and had to be re-issued, and then some got paid with no reference # so if im relying on someone in brisbane to tell who/hasn't paid it could get messy.
The last thing I want is for someone not to get their order because of me no getting notice funds have cleared.
I dont need a repeat of last year, where thru some of my own doing, but then some unexplained reason I had to resend seafood which just stuffs everyone around.
Will sort something out, as its something I have always been passionate about, selling Australian product to Locally.
Cheers Ean

Gday All,
Well after much discussion with head office the outcome is this.
The only way I can do it is for 1 invoice per state. So if someone wants to put their hand up and be the banker who I can invoice then it can happen.
I will still pack and label each order as per normal, its just I cant do individual invoices thru this company.I am the only branch of 5 who they will let sell to customers who are not account holders, so if you can see that you can arrange a person to collect the $$$ in your state, then I will go ahead and post prices etc.
Cheers Ean

Thanks Ean,
I will be on the east coast for a lot of december, so will bow out of the WA order, but am very keen to be part of the Brisbane order. Happy to be the banker for that one, unless Col or someone else wants to do it...?

Gday All
Is there enough interest in doing the supply the way I have mentioned, as I will post what we can supply and prices. I would need to send early December so want to get things under way sooner rather than later.
If not then that's fine with me.
Cheers Ean

Hi Ean,
I am happy to do the Adelaide mob.
Last year, there was only Toombie and myself anyway, and his schedule is all over the place, so not sure if he is going to be in anyway.

Maybe that should be Broker. I will not be in the position to offer a line of credit.
I have been to one pickup at Tolls last year, and yes people will need to be there on time in order for us to enter as one group. I don't have access to any large cold storage, so if you order you need to commit to picking up at a date determined by when they are delivered by the freight company.
Cheers
