weird electrical fault or car dementia

Hi all,
I have a my2012 rrs which has developed an annoying case of amnesia.
it keeps losing track of the time, date and the settings for the windows.This seems to happen when the car is parked for any length of time but not consistently.
Seems a bit early for old timers disease. The car is running well apart from some tailgate squeaks from its trip out west.
Any ideas?

I wonder how much these 'software updates' will cost once the vehicle is out of warranty?

Can't see how software update would fix it....would that mean the car has a virus and some systems stop working correctly ? Others would experience similar if it was software ?

Maybe a hard reset....worth a try. Does that reboot the system ?
