Just wondering what are peoples thoughts on these after market dizzy's.
Land Rover Discovery 3.5 3.9 V8 Distributor Ignition Coil & Conveter Lead | eBay (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Land-Rover-Discovery-3-5-3-9-V8-Distributor-Ignition-Coil-Conveter-Lead-/110797207351?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item19cc073737)
Seeing as the original units seem to be a bit temperamental and old.

I think the dizzys are made in China and then the UK mob modifies them.
As long as you are willing to trust Chinese advance springs They are cheap enough.

If you have the $ around the $600 mark, performance ignitions nunawading Vic make a scorcher dissy, uses Holden and Ford components, like ign amp, rotor and cap.
You then use an elctronic bosch coil. A great system, a few on here have them fitted

Having a 300Tdi I don't run a dizzy, but I do have one in my mini.
Very worthwhile upgrade over the original Lucas gear.
It is from the same ebay store (SimonBBC). There are thousands of happy people out there running those distributors without issues.

Figured they should be better than the original ie not as fussy regarding aftermarket caps or rotors. Scorcher system would be nice though :D:D
