How durable is aluminium anodising?
My D2 is dark green, I have been toying with the idea of painting the alloy rims black.
The problem I have is the big shiny wheel nuts that are so visible which would spoil the effect of the black rims.
Hence the idea of having the wheel nuts anodised black. I wouldn't expect the anodising to last forever but would want to rub half of it off the first time I put the wheel spanner over them.

depends on how well its done and believe it or not if you have an unfinished or porus surface finish you can do it yourself with food die or ink in your kitchen with little more than a wooden spoon some wire a stainless pot and a power supply.
