Hi all,
After lookn at UHF antennae and fitting them it appears u need to remove the entire antennae if u want to remove yr bullbar. Is there another way around this? I don't want to completely remove the UHF cable just to take a bullbar off. Suggestions pls

Slot the bracket with a cut off disc.
Watch your paint/powdercoat though.

How often do you intend on taking the bar off to bother though?

As said above you can put a slot in the mount for the coax to pass through. A lot come like this now.

The other method would be to remove the coax from the antenna end. This is how I do it with an earth independent antenna. What one are you mounting.

thx to all replies, in the process of finding/mounting a winch to bullbar so will guess need to remove a few times, also bar needs to be painted as well hence the need to remove the aerial a few times. i did have a ground indep gme aerial which had similar concerns and the fact it can be pinched quite easily. surprised there is no way to secure these aerials without someone pinching them. in the end went to supercheap and got a aerial which does not have a separate base and aerial hence no one can pinch it. not sure if its ground indep. cost about $60. like the idea of slotting the bar aerial mount though. the cable is one piece so don't see how i can undo this, maybe on other brands.
thx again
