Remote door/gate opener for D4s

Hi

I saw a reference on an online owners manual to a gate opener mounted in the rearview mirror. Is this available in the Oz market? I asume it's not on the D4SE standard spec list.

Does anyone know what they cost? Can you get them installed afterwards?

I'm guessing I'll need to buy a whole new rearview mirror and it will cost me a kidney. Following that I'll find it triggers off some stange IT gremlin that completely stuffs the car which remains stuffed even after I remove it and replace it with the original one. Is this the normal process?

I have my garage door remote (which is quite small) mounted with some velcro on the dashboard next to the driver's side upper aircon vent. Cheap. Easy to reach. Works well.

There's a small flat section on the left hand side on the steering column shroud. That's where I've mounted mine.
