D4 SDV6 Fuel Filter Location etc

Hi

Apologies if this is covered somewhere else but searched the forum for a while without luck.

I am keen to know where the fuelfilter is located on my D4 3ltr SDV6 and the tips/tricks for replacing it when I am not in a position to find a reputable service shop.

Any assistance would be most appreciated

It is located above the crossmember in front of the fuel tank drivers side.
Not real easy to get to & heat shields can be a pain also as they need to be removed to access clearly.

Hi lockers,
If it is the same as the Sport, sound like it is, use the drain, if you don't the diesel you spill will end up in the tank protector skin. The diesel drains out eventually, typically on either you or a path you don't want it to. Thats what I found, you live an learn...........

That's exactly right, you'll just need a ratchet, and extension and a 10mm socket to get both heat shields off
