hey guys sorry if this has been brought up before but my internet is extremly slow at loading these pages and havent found it but ..

Has anyone got the chip and exhaust package from roosystems for there defender at all? 3400 was the quoted price and results as they say is 15% less fuel usage 20% more power and 35% more torque

A) does this price seem ok fitted?
B) has anyone had any experience with there products?
C) is there another chip for the td5 that does a better job

Thanks for your time guys and i await the response :D

tbh that is an awful lot of money for a chip and exhasut on a TD5

There are numerous companies that specialise only in remapping land Rover products who will do you a proven LR remap for around $500

TD5 inside on here is one.

http://www.aulro.com/afvb/vendors-offering-aulro-discounts/157354-td5-remapping.html

There are others too.

Diesel performance tuning and economy remap chip tuning for Landrover Defender Discovery TD5 Puma TDV6 TDV8 (http://bellautoservices.co.uk/)
www.twistedperformance.co.uk (http://www.twistedperformance.co.uk)

Both of these I think have dealers here aswell.

All of these would require the ecu to be reflashed with the map but that isnt overly hard to do if you have a Nanocom. There are heaps of people who can help with that.

I have done a few for people.

3" exhaust is probably overkill aswell. 2.75 seems to be reagrded as the best option.

Could be also worth just giving MR Automotive, or Ricks 4wd a call

in short I think 3400 is a lot and their kit probably isnt the best option.

3400 for chip and exhuast :o..

Td5 do not like plug in chips much better to get the ecu remaped by a td5 expert such as td5 inside who do deals for members of this forum. They are around $350-400. I run a td5 inside maps and I'm very happy with there support and knowledge.

Then fit a larger intercooler and silicon hoses and egr removal from allisport or others from the uk. about $1000

Then go to your local exhaust shop and have 3' or 2.5' (depending on what side of the fence you sit on when it comes to exhuast sizing.) I would go 3. $1000.

That leaves you about $1000 to spend on other things. This will give a much better result then a roo systems 'upgrade'.
