I've started a new thread because the previous GoPro thread was on a different topic. The GoPro3 is out in 3 specs. White (1080/30fps: 5MP camera); Silver (1080/30 fps: 11MP camera) and Black (1080/60 fps: 12 MP camera).
I don't need nor care about the camera capabilities. My 7D with an f2.8 70-200mm IS L series lens and 17-55mm f2.8 lens makes the gopro a midget in a NBL basketball game.
What i'm curious about from gopro owners is whether there is a noticeable difference in the 30 fps compared to the 60 fps. Thus does the extra 30 fps justify the double in price between the white to black series.
The extra 30 fps also consumes more storage per minute of video. Has anyone found problems reducing the video quality for web posting. Does it mean the extra 30 fps are lost because most web hosting sites set a max file size which means short videos or reduced quality.
The GoPro might just end up under the Xmas tree as a present to me from secret Santa (me).
thanks for any insight, MLD
