Remove cat convertor from Puma?? How?

I bought a replacement engine exhaust pipe without the cat convertor, but am puzzled how to get the old one with the cat off. Anybody know hoe to do it please?

I have it unbolted both ends and the cross member removed from under the trans, but there is a bracket welded onto the cat which prevents me getting it out. The studs on the turbo end don't seem to have enough clearance to drop out of the turbo outlet flange either.

Well, unfortunately I've done all that already, and the 4 studs in the exhaust flange do not drop far enough to drop free (of the turbo flange) when the cat sits on the chassis rail. They need to drop another 15mm to allow me to rotate enough to get the cat bracket out of the road.

I might have to try jacking the engine/transmission a little, in case the mounts have settled a bit with mine, which is higher mileage than most others.

You need to remove the front prop shaft and the cross member to remove the cat. Even then it's a tight fit but with a bit of twisting it will come out. Upps should have looked at previous post.https://www.aulro.com/afvb/images/imported/2015/10/955.jpg

That wasn't possible in my case. I suspect the engine mounts may have compacted due to the higher kms travelled, as the studs didn't come near to falling free of the turbo flange. I had to jack on the RH engine mount bracket to liftit high enough to release the studs, and rotate the cat enough to get it away from the chassis.
The other option would have been to remove the studs from the cat pipe flange, but this was easier.
