Wi-fi Digital AV Tuner for pc

i want to get a Wi-fi Digital AV Tuner for the laptop but do not know anything about them.
any info would be good but the few questions i do have are
1. how much do these things normally cost?
2. will they work in any country?

I use a AVerTV by AVerMedia.

There are various models plugs into a USB or PCMCIA or Express port.

Should be able to get on on eBay for less than $90

If you have a decent internet connection, why not just stream TV to your laptop? I realize that is a big assumption, but digital tv is not a global phenomenon many countries are still on analogue and many more on satellite or cable...

we are still on 12gb and we will only have the net for another 6 months so cant really get a good contract for that time
