Spoke to a bloke today that I bumped into shortly after buying my D4 in late 2009.
ARB used his D4 to as a prototype for the new winch bar.
He has just traded in his D4 3.0Lt SE with 275,000Klm's on the clock.
Has anyone exceeded 275Klm's??????

Cheers, Craig

So far we have.....
scarry - 10K
Lotz-A-Landies - 25K
pmrobin - 7K
me - 116K

Total of 158,000Klm's. Still a long way short of the 275K.......

Cheers, Craig

Wow! What's his service history like? Any major things done?

Well that's one thing about not getting my car out of customs 17 days after arriving, it's staying new longer.

Yeah he's ha the dash replaced, he had the rails done on the drivers seat, all the bushes on the front done, I think he had the radio console replaced and he's also had a lot of tyres. He gets it serviced roughly every 20k's. he hasn't had any engine issues or anything like that. Bloke runs his own construction company and drives to all his different sites everyday which is why there's so many k's on the clock. It's a 2010 MY with a 3L in it. To be fair to the car the engine is still in very good condition, no turbo issues, no egr issues and it still has a good amount of power to it. I spoke to him and he said unless it carks out he's going to wait until the disco 5 comes out to get a new one. But god knows how long that will be.

That's great! Other than the the dash and the radio console there's nothing you wouldn't expect to be done. Gives a lot of confidence in the robustness of the vehicle especially as he is also getting around construction sites!

I have done 34,000 since March this year and have had no probs except today I hit a roo which knocked my bullbar slightly out of alignment and bent my driving lights back.
The only other issue I have had is the screen whites out occasionally; it did it yesterday after I stopped for fuel. Overnight it reset itself and was normal today.

I have just come back from Melbourne, my second trip down there. I have had several trips to Sydney and the big trip earlier this year to the centre and the west.
Without a shadow of doubt this is the best long distance cruiser being extremely comfortable, powerful and economical and can swallow all the stuff SWMBO can fit in. The reliability is there too.
I just simply love driving it too. The brakes are some of the best as I have discovered. By comparison the Patrol I had was simply a crude truck.
