Gday All,
Was looking thru some old pics and came across this 1. This is dropping the anchor to close to a reef and the tide going out. If you look at the front boats bow, most of it is actually not sitting on anything, just fresh air.

May be hard to believe, but I wasnt responsible for that effort. That boat belongs to a friend, but yes next high tide all was fine.

At the time the front one was a mothership, thats the reason the small one is hanging off the back.

If they were Naval craft, then that was the end of career aspirations for the skippers, and probably a few juniors by association.

use to do that on my dads yacht on the humber back in the uk, big sandbank down the middle and could get high and dry and give the underside a scrap. :D

so thats where the failcraft mob got their advertising ideas from.
I hope your mates got some credit ean!
The smaller trawler looks to have her cooling coils on the high side, i wonder if the big girl was sitting on hers? That woul bring some anxiety on the run in i would think!
