That's a lot of P38's! How many fault codes were thrown up that day I wonder!
I notice a lot of them run a snorkel, good to see!
Thanks for the pics. This one is my favourite.

...so what do we call that many P38's in the one place at the one time...
A "mission" of P38's?
It is somewhat of a religious calling.
A "trial" of P38's?
It can be a test at times.
Or perhaps a "magnificence" of P38's?
For obvious biased reasons!
P.S. Great effort Flo! Missed out on invites for down under p38'ers?

Encore!
It's fantastic to see so many French P38's. I saw one in Paris when I was last over there and even though it was exactly the same as mine, it had a certain chic that made it very much a French-owned car - perhaps the yellowed fog lights?
In the spirit of embracing our French m 4wd colleagues, I am singing the only French song I know: "Kiki, je voi tu culottes!" - dn't ask how I know it or why it still brings a smile to my face...

Australia is too vast to have a mass gathering of P38's, maybe land rovers but not P38's!

If you look in the trips tracks schedules - upcoming events there is a post about p38's inaugural trip to Bathurst 2013. I thought we would grab interest from the eastern states but no one has jumped on board.
We could call it "The 1st Aussie P38 Nationals at Bathurst"? Then just find a space to do a show and shine and some off road driving before or after the big race. I will give it a bump now.
Any serious interest to changing that event?
Would appreciate help/input from anyone who has previously been involved in that sort of LR or Auto eventing (if it fly's).

Hey Dave - definitely interested in another AULRO/LR/P38 gathering. Have you ever been to Bathurst leading up to the race weekend? It is an absolute ****fight with hoons and wallopers everywhere.
However, it would be great to catch up again. Will search out the post in the trips forum.
cheers, Paul.

So where are all the Vic P38's hiding?
Come on guys this is what its all about enjoying what these vehicles were designed to do!
Too many are sitting in driveways, maybe we need to encourage them to dust off the cobwebs and enjoy the wonders of Vic and beyond!
Need to to plan a P38 only get together and trip, anyone interested??
Lets see what response we get and start planning something. I know at least 3 x Vic's that would be up for it.

If we could get someone in each state to organise some local get togethers first, and speak to other P38 owners who may not get onto Aulro to get on board maybe we could then start linking up some interstate meets following on from that!!

No have not been yet. Recognise the need for wagon train style camping to keep out passing hobo's!
I will be doing an EAS day here soon. Looks like Marty is gonna get something happening for a meet/drive in the new year too!
Still owe you a call... Send me a text whenever you have a bit of time tomorrow after lunch. I will call you back straight after.

Hi Guys,
Been off the airwaves for a short while - a little unexpectedly had other stuff to take care of.
Anyway looks like our gathering may be starting to gain a bit of momentum, but nothing like our mates overseas yet! I reckon if anyone sees another P38 out and about try & get them on here and see if we can get more takers for this get together!
It would be a great way to start off 2013
So looks like I may need to start a list soon and then we need to get some suggestions on a suitable location/time.
