I Pod or Tablet

Is the Samsung Galaxy Tab2 7.0 (Wi-Fi) 8GB as good as the IPod 16Gb 4th generation for listen music?
Both cost about the same but the Samsung tablet have a lot of more fixtures that I can use like reading an ebook or check my email.
If the music output is very close (which is the main purpose)then I would go for the tablet and not the pod.
I appreciate your inputs.

No, Samsung tablet compared to Apple Ipod, if both have equal sound output quality I will prefer the tablet instead of a POD
Are they have the sound output quality about the same? That it is my question.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1. I can not tell me the difference in sound quality between that and my Ipod.
If I was to buy again I would like probably buy an Ipad though as the applications seem better for what I want to do with it.
