Great little video... :D

Why did the driver pick that line? And why did he stall out :p

Should have kept into it and just dropped forward..

Jamies videos are always entertaining,so much so that I subscribe to them:D

And they were good enough to win a Hema Navigator and have them shown on Hemas advertising blurb.

I dont think he stalled it out he just put the clutch in, what you have here is a classic Puma backlash sound.

Great little video......

I've been through that section a number of times and knew the line I should have taken but had a first time 4wd'er in the passenger seat who wanted to know just how capable the vehicles were and how far you could push them.

I had only just finished saying "there's a fine line between pushing the boundaries and making a cock of it".

I don't think I want to go any closer to the edge that what I did in the vid ;-)

Love their vids.
Goya agree mate, i don't think i would've continued either.
Those wheels were a long way up in the air.
If you get a chance have a look at the one they did on the Creb track.

If only it had stall control.....

wait....

isnt the SVX a puma, aren't they supposed to have that already?

wouldnt mind having a shot of video from the other side of the vehicle to show what the right hand front wheel was doing/up against just to see if it was already trying to climb (which would have made it a potentially safe to drive line if you could get the traction) or trying to pull down slope (which puts you into roll over country)

Can't remember if I was in high or low range (which has stall control) but I would have thought I was in low range. You can hear the centre diff lock banging on so most likely LR. I must have clutched in at the point of stall kicking in and it stalled as a result.

The RHF wheel was still climbing and I was attempting to let her down as gently as possible off the peak.

if that normal banging noise from the driveline and its considered acceptable I now know why the ford diffs dont last so well....

you might as well just take the crown wheel out and beat on the pinion gear with a hammer.
