I am setting up a computer for an elderly friend. Imagine my surprise when Telstra gave her an email account (free) even though her ISP is Dodo. She went with Dodo because they offer a wireless dongle with a 1 gig data allowance per month for $9.95 Jim :D:D:D:D:D:D:BigThumb:

I'm a long term Telstra/ bigpond customer.

My old wireless/ 3G modem died, so I upgraded. Due to the way Bigpond works I had to create a new account and migrate my old accounts (from each time I upgraded) across.

Imagine my suprise when the mail.bigpond.com settings didn't work and Bigpond support got me to change settings to servers hosted by Windows live. Me smells a rat, methinks bigpond/ telstra has outsourced...
