Ok, I need to replace my tyres soon. Not sure how old the BFG MT's on the car are, but OLD is the answer, and I think a lot of miles. Trailering the ambulance to a show on the weekend and back looks to have been the last straw for the back pair as one went flat (sidewall split internally) and the other looks ready to delaminate.

So, looking at a reasonably agressive AT as it gets pretty muddy here in winter. don't off road enough to justify MT's either.

Size wide, I know that the std 235/70 fits, a 225/75 fits as does a 245/70. 225/75 seems to be most commonly available (and thus better price), but means I have to change a spare as well. Anybody use these other sizes and have any dramas??

So lookingat a range if anybody has any comments on any of this list (not priced any yet, will do that soon so I know how much I have to save for).

Maxxis AT-700 Bravo
BFG AT
Bridgeston D697
Cooper ST
Cooper ST Maxx
Mickey Thompson ATZ
General Grabber AT2
Yokohama ATs
Kelly TSR
Eldorado Trailcutter RT
Pirelli Scorpion AT

Any I have missed (I know there are others, but not in the 3 sizes I know will fit)

Ive fitted Bridgeston D697 to mine, cant fault them. I had some cheap Radar brand Chinese tires on before these and the difference is amazing.

I,ve had the Maxxis a/t on Toyota we used to own for over 4 years and they wore really well, looked almost new after 40k with no problems, worth a look imho.

'ProComp' have a very aggressive AT but are just like Mickey Thomson tires, big $$$
Also look at the Conti as it has an aggressive AT and not bad $$.
