Sorry for the new thread but could not find exact place to drop this in.

Car at 89,000km

Inner edge of all tyres scrubbed out but have 40,000km+ on standard Wranglers so pretty well stuffed anyway. Have never purposely rotated.

Tried to get alignment done to maximise current tyres until I make up my mind on the new set for 2013.

Dealers alignment shop would not do alignment due to excess play in lower arms.

Following all good advice from the forum - Ean Austral - I had the lower arms replaced yesterday. 90% of cost was covered under extended Alianz Warranty. They have a fixed rate which did not have enough hours. Shop was experienced in replacing them.

Let me say the car is like new. Totally silent except for (old) tyre noise. Amazing how you get used to the abnormal clunks.

Got diffs done at same time as well as gearbox service earlier this month.

For all those contemplating new stereos etc. suggest you spend the $$ on this work first for cars over 80k kms.

P.S. Got my eye on the new Bridgestone Duellers and think letting the lower arms settle in for a few weeks is the way to go also.

Booked in next week for the same work.
Bushes are shot, clunks aplenty but no tyre wear issues.
