sealed lead acid battery

Hey guys, got myself ark batt box and was wondering about sealed maint free batts, according to my research they are sealed because they are overfilled and charged hench no need to topup during its usefull life, they have vent that blows open if they are ever overcharged, the ark has a batt charger that monitors batt level etc so i was thinkin that a maint free batt could be used, anyone wanna comment on this as i only need a good heavy duty marine type batt for my needs
