D2 tail light wiring

Hi All,

I have a D2 and have recently gotten hold of some D2a updated tail lights (high and low mounted ones). I am looking for a wiring diagram to find out which wires I need to swap around to move/swap the indicators and reverse lights. I have a copy of rave but can't find it at the mo so that doesn't help.

I am assuming there is a plug somewhere back up the loom that I can get to and swap the required wires around.

You best get searching for the RAVE CD. ;)

To work this out you'll need 2000MY and 2003MY wiring diagrams and the Electrical Library Pdf.

The next connector downstream is above the b-pillar and behind the headlining. As for which connections need to be swapped - as they say in the classics "this is left as an exercise for the reader".

Just as easy to use a 12v test light. Won't take long to sort what's what.

I have been searching for RAVE. If I can't find it soon I'll have to get another one, they are mighty useful.

I was hoping that someone else had done the swap and could give me some pointers. I was really hoping that there was a plug behind the rear bumper where the wires branched off for the upper and lower lights, would make swapping them easy as pie.

I have a multimeter so it is easy enough to identify which wire does which, I guess i will have to poke around in and under the rear to see what I can make of it.
