I'm looking at getting a set of the smaller aftermarket (cheap)mud flaps and some of the ebay adverts say 2009 - 2012 while others say 2004 - 2012. The later model ones are cheaper than the earlier ones by the way.

So does anyone know if there is a difference between the earlier model mud flaps and the later ones cause looking at the pictures they look the same.

cheers,
Terry

Hi Terry,
Have a read through this post http://www.aulro.com/afvb/d3-d4-rrs/142633-front-mudflaps-rock-sliders.html

You can make your own and cut them as small as you like.

Cheers, Craig

Bloody excellent Craig, thanks for that. After reading the full thread I would have needed to make them anyway given I have also just ordered from Brad a set of sliders.

Any chance of a copy of the template please? ...:TakeABow:

cheers,
Terry

Yes there is 2 generations of mudflaps on the D3.

Some of the online traders don't appear to know that either, I ordered a set after checking with the seller (images were for the earlier design). When they arrived they were the later design, took a few emails back and forth, images from my end and links to various web resources until the seller gave in and accepted return for refund.
