Another eas mystery

Hi all

Last night my eas decided to have fun. When I turned the car off the compressor kept running and the car went to wading height. It would not lower and no eas faults came up.

Unplugged compressor and used inline taps to sort out ride height, so not a problem.

Checked fuse panel and no signs of heat or damage - I hope not as only replaced 18 months ago.

Couldn't find any apparent issue.

Plugged everything back in this morning and it's all working fine now? ????????

Nanocom only shows a fault message "unspecified fault code".

Anyone had this issue or can point me in the right direction to test?:confused:

Sorry nothing I have faced before. I would say swap out the EAS module for another and contact Rupert on here to seeing he can check the original for you. Just guessing though.

If it has corrected itself and there are no faults logged then it is probably not worth looking into. Must say that my EAS has done some strange things on the odd occassion that are rarely replicated again.
Latest one was changing from highway height to high and then back to standard rather than highway to standard height. Happened about a month ago and has behaved ever since.
If its a once off, and has reset itself then leave it alone. Its a P38, there is sure to be other stuff to fix.

Could be an ecu to me. A pump relay won't raise the height, and a valveblock driver won't drive the pump - my best bet is to start with the delay timer, as the pump shouldn't be able to be driven if the ecu knows the ignition is off.

I'm with PeterAllen though, unless it does it again I wouldn't look at it. Mine occasionally changes heights with the brakes on, not really worth worrying about.
