ICOM 400 Pro upgrade 40 to 80 channel in Hobart

Any one know where or who can perform the upgrade from 40 to 80 channels to my ICOM 400 Pro in the Hobart/surrounding area?

Almost any radio shop or you can buy the lead of the internet download the programme and do it yourself its not hard:)

do a google search for the software.
The cable you need is OPC-1122 under $10 delivered on ebay
There is a yahoo group for the 400 pro very helpful

not sure if someone has re-upped it but a few months ago the yahoo group had to pull the programming software they had under threat of legal action from ICOM

I have followed the advice and now have the cable and software! Completed the conversion easily!

Now to see what other functions I can play with!!!
