Well - Working away gives plenty of "planning" time - or so it appears!

So I've been looking at what I can do to sort the Cat and make it ready for some well earned 'boat therapy' in the upcoming months (currently Snapper fishing is banned).

This was 3 months ago... I started by fitting a new Gunwale Rubber.

Then had the Motors fully serviced, New impellers, Control cables and just had the carbies rebuilt - The engines run like a dream now.

And then decided I hate pulling anchors! So I ordered this - I have not finished installing yet.

And then I named her.... (She's never had a name :o )

And to make it a bit easier to get aboard after a swim

Fitted one of these rocket launchers... So handy...

Chucked a new Number plate on the trailer

Ordered a new Wheel.

A couple of new SOLAS 4 Blade Props...

On the "To Do" list are still:

- New Stereo System
- Redo Carpet on Deck
- Polish Hull
- Fix a few chips in the Gel coat
- Fit the new Switch Panel
- Line forward Cabin

But she's nearly ready to rock!!!!

Don't feel bad JC... You have an open invite here!

Unfortunately for my wallet I didn't stop there..

All new led lights for inside, deck, Bimini, and underwater transom lights have all arrived.

I then ordered a deck wash pump, live bait tank and new HGS7 touch with Structure Scan.

And some new rims for the trailer...

which underwater lights did you go with?

and a tip when installing the deck wash - make sure you use a pressure feed skin fitting or pickup - that way the deckie can use the deckwash while you are steaming between spots

5 min cleaning in between hangs makes the final clean at the end easy and nothing shifts blood and guts as good as pressure salt water and a scrub brush BEFORE the sun bakes it solid!

Also a good idea to flush the pressure pup with fresh water at the end of a trip (jam hose in pickup flick switch and prolong the pump life)

Im awaiting my next tax return after seening the new Lowrance touch models at the Mandurah Boat show.Want the BIG one:cool::cool::cool::cool::cool:
Would settle for the 8" if finances dictate so.Good thing with them you can shift the "control icons" off the display to maximize on screen display.
Love how you can split the screen into 4 and also mark side scan images via touch as you spot them up to 150m either side.

My fishing buddy has just fitted the 10" touch lowrance sounder, he got the sound dock fitted that allows you to put your iPhone in it, then you can choose songs etc from the sounder screen, it's fantastic, I"ll get some pics next time were out fishing
