here we go again!!!....defender 130 c/c 1999...new to me.
There is the original LR radio in it but it has a security code and I did not get the code when I bought the car. If I press in 1111 it will go on for about 3 minutes. My question is, is there any way to bypass the security code? I thought I would try here before I rip it out and replace...........thanks in advance.

Contact any LR dealer with the VIN number and they will tell you the unlock code. You might have to give a few details, but I can't see them being that fussed for such an old radio.

Did this with the Adelaide dealer and they just gave it out to me.

For the price of a new radio, just ditch it and replace with something nicer.

When I tried that 6 or 7 years ago with my 95 130 the dealer told me they had no info for a car so old:mad:

I don't think I've been to a dealer since.
