The Puma has the real world deal on anti-stall - the videos of those in action are very impressive. Cheers

I'm sorry to burst your bubble but technically ALL electronic fuel injection systems have some sort of anti-stall... It's part of the feedback loop built into the system.
It's just that LR have adjusted the parameters that it works within and turned it into a feature. ;)

The only difference between the TD5 and PUMA idle performances is
The PUMA has a much lower 1st gear
In Low range the PUMA bumps the idle speed to about 1100 RPM
That means the PUMA will not stall, whereas it is possible to stall a TD5 in high traction conditions. But they are essentially the same concept.

a, you can still stall it, its not anti stall
b, its a governor
c, anti-stall is a completely different kettle of fish, calling a governer function anti stall is like me deciding to make a 10 inch touch pad with a data connection and then deciding that because the on/off button and the volume control on the side looks like an i that what I have is an ipad.

Thank you for that, answered my question, I assume you are, or soon will, Sgt., if not, why not. Bob
