I need to repair a couple of cracks on my bumper whilst I source a new one and I was hoping somebody could let me know what material it is made of (or not).

The reason I ask is a lot of the plastic welds/glues say they don't glue polyethylene or polypropylene plastics (for example this Plastic Weld (http://www.permatex.com/products/product-categories/adhesives-sealants/epoxies/permatex--permapoxy--5-minute-plastic-weld-detail)), however I was hoping something like that would be good enough.

for what it's worth, I did a repair on a cracked / split bottom console on a D1 once. I roughed up the plastic and then on the inner side fibreglassed some cloth and resin over and beyond the split. I held strong for the 10 years I owned it.
My bumper is split in a couple of spots thinking of getting around to it one day.
cheers, Mario
