Hi all

can anyone tell weather to keep my standard FF on my D2 TD5 or is there something better on the market?

Stick with stock filter. If you want to go all out buy genuine.

Does only the Diesel have a fuel filter? I cannot find a Petrol fuel filter for the V8 in RAVE.

So the fuel filter in this Discovery V8 filter kit will be useless?:

When adverts just say "Discovery" you can safely assume they mean "Discovery Series I".

Won't do a Disco 2 air filter is different, oil filter is the same though and no fuel filter needed

I thought only the D2 had a 3.9 litre V8. Oh well, thanks for clearing that up guys.

I believe it's the same capacity, plus or minus a cc or two, as the D1, but it is referred to as a 4.0 in the D2.

Apparently because Jeep had a 4 litre, the marketing boys in Solihull decided that they could not be outdone.

I had heard a different story, which was that they "rebranded" it being the 4.0 to make it seem like a totally different engine from the "terrible, unreliable" 3.9.

In making the minor changes, I think the capacity went from 3947cc to 3950cc.
