Hi all, just bought a 02 L322 last Friday. Does any body know if there are any accessories such as a winch bar, snorkel, slider bars or under body protection available. I don't intend to go extreme but its better to have some basic protection.
Cheers

Welcome to the forum, and congratulations on your purchase. Unfortunately I don't think there is a lot available for these. There was a factory option for a winch when they were released, but they can be hard to find and expensive if you do find one.

Snorkel I have never found for these, and sliders you may have to make a set yourself, but I haven't even looked what attachment points there are underneath.

Hopefully some others may have some ideas.:)

Cheers - Gav

I too was looking for these when I bought my TD6.
Basically, factory options available.
Winch mount-- this sticks out in front of the plastic bumper! Available in UK.
"Bull bars"--Plastic and plastic/stainless-- really for dress-up and parking dings only!
Cheap on Ebay UK, but freight a problem.
Side steps- plenty available, but you wouldn't class them as rock sliders.
Similarly, never seen a snorkel kit- make one? Air intake on driver's side, so would have to cross over to pax side? Wouldn't be too good for visibility to make one on driver's side!

The factory Bars/winch mounting kits are the only front bars that have ADR approval. Reports sugest they are significantly better than they look. There was talk of an ABR style bull bar going throught he approval process but it seems to have dropped off.

The mounting points for the factory steps are quite solid, make your own sliders, the lack of accessories is why many plp go for the D3...

Ive put a standard plastic nudge bar on my 04 TD6 not so much for protection but mainly to mount up some Hella rallye 4000 spotties so I can at least see the roos coming as well as some lower protection for the oil cooler below the bumper.
I have also got a full lenght rack on the roof for extended trips..
After coming out of a fully kitted 110 puma, the lack of accesories is pretty annoying, but the Rangies ability and driving comfort makes up for it.

I'm back in the mother land WA now have just purchased an 09' TDV8 L322 and am disgusted at the lack of bolt on after market accessories. There is a rear mounted ladder AGP790020 that is configured with the genuine expedition roof rack CAB500130PMA- and its only available for the UK market...WTF - how many London based L322 owners are gonna need a roof rack let alone a ladder.. Sump guard 16-SPGDS3 - another part not available for the Aussie market....These are ideal for the Aussie market. I fixed that problem and have a mate sending me a package with both the ladder and the sump guard.. ..
As for the front bar, I was informed last week there is an Aluminium and a steel variant coming out shortly - I believe it is a bumper replacement number with driving lights fabricated into it. I have put my name down for the 1st one and am going to get it sprayed the same Landrover metallic black the car is. I like the rest of the L322 owners in Australia want to add more protection to the front end so as we can mow down our skipping national emblems.....Just because its not a Toyota or a Nissan and maybe it has a few additional safety features- dosn't mean to say that it can't be designed and marketed........:soapbox:

If the 'plastic' LR bull bar is anything like the one fitted to my P38- and I believe it is- then it's actually a steel bar with a rubberised coating. It's not just for looks.

Hi Tin-in-NZ

I was just reading your post and didn't realise those accessories were available for the L322, so looked them up. It appear that the sump guard part no is for a Discovery 3 and the ladder is for a Range Rover Sport - so neither for a L322. Perhaps you should double check before getting them sent out.

Cheers.

Cheers. Hi Ciaran, I have recently bought a 2009 TDV8 RR Sport. Is this an L322 or is it something else. Yes I know the sump guard is off a Disco, yet with the RR Sport being built on a Disco chassis I was going to try and get something fabricated to suit or modify this one. As for the ladder it will fit my car yet the UK supplier has warned me that the rear door is inoperable when the ladder is in place. I have placed order on hold for the mean time till I dig up some more info on my current ride. Can some one tell me where I can get a detailed spec sheet on the 2009 TDV8 Range Rover sport and a comprehensive parts list........The dealer tells me the internet yet I am struggling. Has any other R/R sport owners had any issues with the V8 diesel... Cheers Tim:BigThumb:

Where is the L320 RR Sport section on AULRO?

Why would we need one when a RRS is just a D3 wearing a leotard and trainers?

If the grass is greener on the other side of the fence, you can bet the water bill is higher.

To be pedantic, the D3 (and now the D4 following it) did (and does) have a V8 option.

It's just the "TD" bit that's missing from it.
